Substantial Detached Property in Hale

James Bros Roofing Contractors were commissioned by Stephen Hodder, the then President of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) to re-roof his substantial detached property in Hale, Cheshire.

This project took 4 weeks to complete and consisted of the replacement of perished concrete tile to a more modern, contemporary Sandtoft calderdale concrete tile and Dreadnought clay 10 x 6 tile.

Residential Property in Cheshire

The customer wanted to find a new tile that had a similar aesthetic look to the original clay tiles but also needed to ensure an economical overall installation cost.

The Sandtoft 20 x 20 clay tile was chosen and the job took approximatively 5 weeks to complete with around 7000 tiles being used to cover the residential property, located in the popular Hale area of Cheshire.

Sandtoft Handcrafted Tile Range

The customer wanted to find a new tile that had a similar aesthetic look to the original hand made clay tiles but also needed to ensure an economical overall installation cost.

The Sandtoft Barrow clay tile was chosen from the Sandtoft handcrafted tile range, the job took around 10 weeks to complete with around 15000 tiles being used and some 600 clay bonnets on this splendid domestic property situated in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
